Land of talk - indistinct conversations

I’ve always been a huge fan Elizabeth Powell’s Montreal project Land of Talk. ‘Indistinct Conversations’ is one of my favourites and it’s an album I tend to throw on whenever I’m not sure what to listen to. It’s that really awesome high-energy indie rock from 2015 that we don’t have enough of anymore. I really like pulsing drums “Footnotes” and electric riffs on “A/B Futures”. Also she has a nice way to go full out on a few songs and then bring it down for a beat like on “Festivals”.

Honestly her whole discography is worth listening to, and bonus she has a new album coming out in November 2026, so circle that one on your calendar and loop back to check it out. I hope you enjoy this one!
